We celebrated Hinamatsuri, also known as Doll's Day, recently on March 3rd at Ki Niseko! Hinamatsuri is a special day in Japan, that celebrates girls and and that they can grow healthy and happily. To celebrate this traditional Japanese day, we hosted a range of events from March 3rd until March 5th.
Guests enjoyed a Kimono Dress-Up Experience and authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony as well as traditional Japanese drumming by Koryu and traditional Japanese dancing by Kamon Tomiki and Sano Kurea.
At the entrance of Ki Niseko, the staff wearing Yukata distributed Amazake (Japanese sweet sake) and Hina-arare, which is a rice cracker. From kids to adult, even foreigners who never had Amazake, enjoyed the taste.

Customers also learned how to make authentic Japanese tea and got to try the tea for themselves. The traditional Tea Ceremony was hosted by Shoko Yamada, who also presented our Tea Ceremony foru Valentine's Day Celebrations last month. The Kimono Dress-Up Experience was also hosted thanks to Shoko, with both female and male guests enjoying wearing a kimono for the very first time.

The last day of Hinamatsuri celebration, outside the entrance of Ki Niseko, we had souful performance of traditional Japanese drumming by Koryu. After drumming performance, we had traditional Japanese dance by Kamon Tomiki and Sano Kurea.
