Winter is here in Niseko with over 45cm of snow expected to fall in Niseko Hirafu this week. Ki Niseko guests and locals are gladly welcoming the solid snowfall with big smiles on their faces, with the scheduled November 23rd opening of the Grand Hirafu lifts being postponed earlier this week.
Yesterday's snowfall hit around 37cm with today's expected snowfall 14cm, a solid 12.6cm due on Monday and 15.2cm forecast to fall on Tuesday. Temperatures are feeling more and more like winter with a low of -8 degrees Celsius today and -7 tomorrow.
With snow falling daily this week, riders and snow-lovers won't have to wait much longer to get out on the slopes for their first runs for the season.
