It's official! Winter is here in Niseko with the recent opening of Grand Hirafu Mt Resort for the exciting 2016/17 winter season. The lifts are running, the riders are out and even more snow is on the way for an action-packed season ahead.
Skiers and snowboarders have been out and about on the slopes since the opening of Grand Hirafu on November 26th, taking full advantage of the early snowfall. There's been a number of bluebird days and great snowfall since the opening which has been a fantastic start to the season.
What's more is the brand new King Quad Lift #3 is now open and in operation for the season. This high-speed 4-person lift is super smooth to ride and provides access to the Hirafu summit and the Hanazono area. The swift ride up the mountain means more time for downhill-fun.
