The snow continues to fall and it is lifting the spirits of all of our staff and guests throughout the hotel. When you are a ski-in and ski-out boutique hotel, you really feel the whims of the weather! All of us are relieved to see another wave of fresh snow that started last night and has continued to fall all day long.
While the morning report from 360 Niseko only gave us 4.5 cm, the fluffy, white powder has been falling fast all Friday-long!
Visibility isn't great, but that wasn't enough to stop skiers and snowboarders from heading up the mountain to carve new tracks through the fresh powder.
The snow is really coming down, you can't even see the resort behind the hotel!
The Hirafu Gondola is scheduled to open tomorrow; the decision remains up to Niseko United as to whether the Gondola will open or not. We are hopeful that the blizzard coming down now will be enough to have the Gondola up and running for the weekend, but we will have to wait and see what the morning brings!
