Every year, Ki Niseko holds a Golden Week Festival to celebrate the long week of public holidays in Japan. Hotel guests and locals in Niseko have always enjoyed our events and continue to return every year. Here's what happened at this year's event.
At the event, our guests were able to enjoy traditional games such as Superball Sukui (save the bouncy ball) and Yo-yo Tsuri (Yo-yo Scooping). The game required players to scoop out toys using a tool made out of thin paper that would break over time. Collect eight balls out of the water with a paper scoop to win. Young guests who had the skills won a special prize of an animal puzzle or a cute T-shirt. Both young children and adults loved playing Superball Sukui, with the highest score being 112 bouncy balls.
Ride the Rodeo was also extremely popular with guests. The children were all eager to ride our mechanical sheep while the adults were keen to challenge themselves on the highest level of the rodeo! The rider who was able to stay the longest on the rodeo won a half price stay at Ki Niseko and many other goods.
After all the action outside, guests enjoyed food from An Dining along with live performances from Emi Metcalf, Sapporo Jazz Trio and Jazz Min.
It was a great three day event to start the week of public holidays. Thank you to all of our guests and locals who came to our event and we hope to see you soon.
