About the Artist: Tsuyoshi Sato
Born in Hokkaido in 1962, Tsuyoshi Sato grew up immersed in the world of calligraphy, inspired by his parents, who ran a calligraphy school. His passion evolved into a lifelong career as a teacher and advisor at Iwanai High School, where he nurtured a generation of talented calligraphy students for 30 years. Beyond the classroom, Sato has dedicated decades to promoting calligraphy culture in the local community, teaching residents and inspiring many with his impactful and unrestrained works.
