Niseko in winter is a destination full of fun and wonder, no matter your age. Whether you're 6 or 60, there's something for everyone. We're put together some of the top activities the entire family can enjoy, both on and off the snow. Here's eight ideas to get you on your way.
On-Snow
Skiing and Snowboarding
Niseko's most famous winter activities: Skiing and snowboarding. Fast-track your families learning with ski lessons and kids ski lessons are perfect for parents wanting to have some free time to ski while their child can learn from the help of the professionals.
Suitable for ages 3 and up.
Snowshoeing
Looking to enjoy something other than skiing or snowboarding in Niseko? Try a snowshoe tour. Enjoy a private tour with a gentle hike through the forest in specially designed snowshoes and make your way towards a crater lake at the foot of Mt. Yotei. Ride a snowslide down to the frozen and snowfilled Lake Hangetsu.
Suitable for ages 6 and up.
Have fun in a winter wonderland with special shoes designed for the snow.
Snowmobiling
Try something different with a ride on a snowmobile; it's a great way to enjoy the local scenery and it's a lot of fun! Plus, you can also ride on a banana boat (inflatable) towed by a snowmobile.
Single riding for ages 13 and up. Adult-twin rides for ages 6-12.
Cruise with your friends and family on a snowmobile.
Tubing
Get about on the snow and smile the whole way with a ride on a snowtube or sled. Hanazono Tube Park has these activities on groomed, safe and dedicated areas amd no experience or equipment needed.
Great for adults and kids of all ages.
Have fun slipping and sliding on a tube.
Snowrafting
Zip all over the powder snow in a snow raft towed by a snowmobile for a new kind of thrill. Enjoy the beautiful Niseko scenery as you ride with your loved ones.

Off-Snow
Soba Making
Experience traditional Japanese soba (buckwheat noodle) making; it's a great family activity when you feel like a break from the snow! Learn from a professional Japanese soba chef as they perform a special live demonstration. Then, try making the noodles for yourself!

Sightseeing Day Trips
Enjoy a winter day trip in a private car with a driver that can to take you and your family for a day of exploring in Otaru (pictured) Sapporo; great winter destinations. Enjoy local cuisines and cultures in Niseko neighboring winter wonderlands.

Indoor Adventure
Enjoy lunch, coffee or a quiet glass of wine and let the kids play with a visit to JoJo's. The kids will stay amused with the three-storey indoor playground, plus, there's also a climbing wall within the NAC (Niseko Adventure Centre) building (additional fee).
