During the warmer months, there are few better ways to enjoy the natural splendour of the Hokkaido area than taking a fun and scenic ride down the Shiribetsu River!
Niseko Adventure Centre (NAC) is our recommended operator for rafting and other water-based activities during your stay. Taking place on Niseko's Shiribetsu River, there are opportunities for a host of different adventures, whether you are seeking an adrenaline rush or a tranquil float through serene natural surroundings.

Rafting
Experience the thrill and excitement of river rafting down the rapids of Shiribetsu River! In Spring, as the winter snow melts, the water levels rise producing thrilling Grade 3-4 rapids. Summer rafting is more relaxed and family-oriented with Grade 1-2 rapids and spectacular views, perfect for children and beginners.

Platinum Private Rafting Tour (3.5 Hours, 12km course)
NAC's platinum rafting tour is a private tour intended exclusively for group bookings. Choose your own start time and have a fun day out on the river with your group of friends, family or colleagues!
This tour will also include the following:
- Rafts
- Bus transfer
- Guides
- Photographer
- Tea and lunch
Spring Course (April 20th - May 31st): 7 people per raft, maximum 4 rafts
Summer Course (June 1st - Nov 1st): up to 9 people per raft, maximum 4 rafts
Please choose a time between 9:00 and 13:00 to ensure adequate time to complete the tour.

Ducky Half-Day Tour (3.5 hours)
Like rafting but in a smaller, inflatable boat, ducky is a fantastic option for those who seek more independent experience. Ride as a pair or take control of your own individual ducky. The ducky experience gives you the freedom to choose your own path down the river! If you are a beginner, do not worry, experienced guides will be supporting you from their own rafts.

For a slightly more relaxing adventure, give river kayaking a try! Soak up the Niseko scenery as you paddle either a solo or tandem kayak down an idyllic section of the Shiribetsu River. An experienced guide will accompany you on your journey.

Stand-up Paddle Boarding (SUP) Half-Day Tour (3.5 hours)
An easy to learn and relaxed water sport, stand-up paddle boarding originated in Hawaii and has gained popularity all over the world, including Japan. Using the gentle current (and sometimes small waves) to guide you, enjoy a graceful 'walk on water' while admiring the mirror-like surface of the Shiribetsu River.
Although relaxing, stand-up paddle boarding will test your upper body strength and is a great activity for building balance, overall physical strength, and endurance!

Terms
- Bookings must be made at least 72 hours in advance of the tour.
- From 5 days prior to the tour date, 50% will be charged for any cancellations.
- Cancelling within 48 hours of the tour date will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
- Tours may be cancelled at any time to NAC due to unsafe weather. In this case, guests will be offered an alternative date for the tour, or a full refund.
